Dan has today informed the club that he is stepping down with immediate effect from the position of club secretary.
Dan has been offered the club secretary position at Skelmersdale United, a position he has wanted for a long time at his hometown club.
Dan had the following to say
“I would like to put on record my gratitude to the Chairmen at Prescot Cables, Tony Zeverona & Doug Lace, Manager Brian Richardson, all the board members and not least the fantastic supporters which have ensured that my time working with the club have been thoroughly enjoyable and provided endless wonderful memories, very best of luck to Prescot Cables as they look to make it to the next step over the upcoming season”
“As somebody who grew up and was resident in Skelmersdale for many years it gives me great pleasure to return to the club which I consider to be my hometown club, the opportunity to work again at the club and be part of the team to bring Skelmersdale Utd back to the town was one which I simply could not turn down”
The club wish Dan the very best of luck in his new role, with the ground share for the coming season we will still see a lot of Dan in and around Volair Park.
Following on from this, we are delighted that Matt Roberts has agreed to take up the position of club secretary, we will shortly be advertising for a new ‘Assistant Secretary’. We also wish Matt well in his new role and he will supported by everyone at the club for any help he needs.
