Three in, one out on Deadline Day

Steven Yawson

Prescot Cables are delighted to announce the addition of three players to the First Team squad.

Matthew Lavelle is a 21-year-old goalkeeper who has signed for Cables from Vauxhall Motors.

Steven Yawson (pictured, above) is a former Morecambe scholar who has been playing for Kendal Town in the West Division. He is a 19-year-old who is comfortable on the flanks and will add additional pace to the squad.

The third player to sign First Team forms is not a ‘new’ player as such. Jack Morton is a 20-year-old goalkeeper who has played First Team football for the club before, having come through the club’s Youth and Reserve Teams. He has gained valuable experience of senior football at St Helens Town this season and will continue to be available to Town; he joins the Cables squad as cover.

We welcome all three to the group and hope they will enjoy their time with the club.

At the same time, we bid farewell to Kyle Haslam, who has been released from his registration. Kyle has been playing for Charnock Richard on a dual-registration basis and has the opportunity to join another NPL club.

We would like to thank Kyle for all his efforts whilst he has been at Cables and we wish him all the best for the future.
