Volunteer Vacancy – Programme Editor

We would like to sadly announce the resignation of our current programme editor Gareth Coates, I am sure you will all agree that since Gareth took on the position at the club we have seen amazing changes to the programme which has won a number awards. Due to work and family commitments, Gareth is no longer in a position to dedicate the time required to create such a high quality programme. After almost 30 years working within non league football, Gareth has more than earned a break.

In the 2017/18 season the ‘Soccer Club Swap Shop’rated the programme as the best publication in the ‘Evostik North’ and was also ranked 23rd out of 600 entries nationally. M60 programmes also rated it the ‘Programme of the year’

In the 2018/19 season the programme ranked 9th overall out of 568 entries, was the highest placed programme across the Evostik league across all three division, and was highest ranked across the 7 leagues at step 4 in the ‘Soccer Club Swap Shop’.

The club would like to place on record our gratitude and thanks to Gareth for all of his hard work, not just on the programme but behind the scenes as well with website and new league compliance.

We will now be recruiting for Gareth’s replacement, the successful candidate would ideally need to have experience with programme editing, preferably at Counties level and above and also be able to work with tight deadline due to fixture changes and cup draws.

This could be done remotely so we would be more than happy to hear from applicants from outside the Merseyside area.

If you wish to apply, please send an email to [email protected] with your details and relevant experience.
