Following last weekend’s morale-boosting win over Droylsden, Prescot Cables take on Trafford at the IP Truck Parts Stadium this Saturday aiming to build on the victory over the Bloods.
Trafford will travel to Knowsley one point and two places above the Pesky Bulls in 9th place, although Cables do have a game in hand.
Trafford won the reverse fixture 1-0 on 5th October. Lewis Salmon scored for the Whites from the penalty spot against a ten-man Prescot team, Josh Gregory having received two cautions during the match. Always strong at home, Trafford have found matches at Prescot challenging in recent seasons and have lost all of their last five matches at the IP Truck Parts Stadium.
The Form Guide
Trafford have lost five of their last six matches in the BetVictor NPL North / West Division, but that statistic may be misleading; their solitary point gained in that sequence was against leaders Workington. In addition, the Whites hit five goals in midweek in their Integro Cup win over high-flying Ramsbottom United. For their part, Cables have won one and drawn two of their last six League matches.
Admission on the turnstiles is just £8.00 for adults, £5.00 for concessions and £1.00 for children under the age of 16. Kick off is 3:00pm and the turnstiles and clubhouse will be open from approximately 1:30pm, with a wide range of beverages, including local Real Ales from the Melwood Beer Company and a selection of bitters, lagers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks. Hot food will also be available, so come down early and enjoy the atmosphere.
