Prescot Cables v Radcliffe – Statement

There have been a number of questions on social media regarding the lockdown in Manchester that covers the Radcliffe area.

We have taken advice from the Northern Premier League and they see no issue with the game taking place and away fans attending. If we were to ban away fans, that would also mean banning the Radcliffe team from travelling.

It is worth noting that there is a local spike in the Eccleston area, which comes under a Prescot postcode, this makes it difficult to stop sales via postcode.

The greater Manchester local lockdown covers gathering in enclosed indoor spaces, this does not cover meeting outside whilst socially distancing or travelling outside of the area.

If everyone adheres to the current regulations regarding social distancing and stays a minimum of one metre apart although preferred is 2 metres, and in groups of 6 or less if outside of your household there should be no problems.

Automatic hand sanitiser stations have been fitted to the ladies and gents toilets and everyone entering the ground will be required to use a hand sanitiser on entrance.

We would ask anyone thinking of buying a ticket to make a conscious decision about whether they should be travelling/attending a game based on their individual circumstance, whether a Radcliffe or Prescot Cables fan.
