Cables make a welcome return to league action at Colne on Saturday. The competition resumes after a much-disrupted schedule due to the coronavirus pandemic and both sides are playing only their 8th game of the season.

We caught up with Cables manager Craig Davies who told us “it’s just great to be back to league action given everything. It will be yet again, another good test against Colne. They have kicked on massively since our FA cup tie at the start of the season. So we know how difficult it’s going to be. We go there confident, however, knowing we have won there before this season. We will look to build on our win last time out against Widnes.”

Squad news

Joshua Klein-Davies and Patrick Staunton miss out through injury. James Edgar is serving two more games from his suspension like wise with Rodrigo Schmidtdinger starting his 3 match ban. It is a welcome return to the squad for Liam Caddick, who has come back to fitness over the lockdown period having been out since August.
