Experienced striker Lewis Buckley has signed for Prescot Cables for the 2021-22 season. The 29-year-old has agreed to join the Pesky Bulls and brings with him a wealth of experience of both English Non-League football and life in the Welsh Premier League.
Buckley has previously played for Runcorn Town, Warrington Rylands 1906, Widnes, Airbus UK Broughton and Cefn Druids and commented: “Prescot is a huge club locally with great fans and after speaking to Craig and Biggs, it felt like the right place to play my football. I’m looking forward to getting to know all the lads and having a good pre-season. Then, I hope that we can push on as a group and I can develop personally.”
Manager Craig Davies was clear about what he feels Buckley can bring to the club: “Lewis is first and foremost a good lad and someone who you want in your dressing room. He has scored goals wherever he’s been and adds a different dimension to our squad. He is hungry to get going and score goals for our football club. We are delighted to have him for the upcoming season.”
