Prescot Cables FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Josh Gregory for the 2021-22 season. Returning for his second spell at the club, Josh was the stand-out player during the curtailed 2019-20 season, making 31 appearances in the Amber and Black before departing for Witton Albion. The club is delighted to have secured his services for next season.
The 22-year-old cultured midfielder, who boasts Wigan Athletic, Chorley and Witton Albion as his former clubs is thrilled to be re-joining Cables: “I really enjoyed my time here previously. It is a great club with a great set of lads in the dressing room as well as an excellent fanbase. Once I spoke to the gaffer about his ambitions for the club, it was a no-brainer for me to re-join. The gaffer’s vision for the future and ultimately, his interest in me being a part of that were big factors in me returning. I can’t wait to get going and enjoy my football again.”
Craig Davies was full of praise for the midfielder’s abilities as he expressed his delight at the signing: “First and foremost, like all the lads we’ve brought in, Josh is a great lad. Technically, he’s an excellent footballer who is always looking to get on the ball and get his team playing. He has an outstanding passing range and his ability to play forward as well as ‘mix it up’ defensively made this move an absolute no-brainer. This signing is a major coup for us, and we are delighted to be able to bring Josh back to the club. I’m sure everyone is excited to see Josh pull on a Cables shirt again.”
