Now that the 2021-2022 season is over, preparations are already underway for 2022-2023 season. As part of those preparations, we are looking to carry out essential maintenance and renovation on the playing surface at Hope Street.
To do that, we need YOUR help and today we are launching the Club 1884 Pitch Square Campaign to raise funds.
Traditionally, the pitch square scheme has been well supported, and we are sure that this year’s campaign will be equally popular amongst our fans, players, volunteers and shareholders, as well as local businesses who can purchase a pitch square to advertise their brand.
The Pitch Squares Grid will be updated regularly on the Club’s social media channels and also on the club website.
How it works
Our pitch has been divided into 108 individual squares. Each pitch square can be purchased for £20.
An individual or local business buys one or more pitch squares and the funds raised will go towards the pitch renovations, such as reseeding, verti-draining and the levelling of the surface.
This is what you get when you buy a pitch square:
- Your name or your businesses name will be added to our Pitch Square grid. This will be displayed within the ground throughout next season.
- The completed grid will also be printed in the matchday programme throughout next season.
- There is no limit to the number of squares you can purchase.
Previous campaigns have allowed purchasers to choose avatars or images along with their name to represent their support of the club. It is hoped that once again this scheme will capture the imagination of fans and sponsors to produce a colourful, inventive map of the pitch.
The pitch squares can be purchased by cash, cheque, PayPal or Bank Transfer.
