Prescot Cables are delighted to announce a new agreement between the club and local business Russell Roofing that will see them become the club’s principal stadium and shirt sponsor.
The deal will see the stadium re-named The Joseph Russell Stadium, as well as their company logo adorn the new Hope & Glory Prescot Cables home and away shirts for at least the next two seasons.
Speaking of his pride at being able to name the stadium after his late father, Russell Roofing owner Carl Russell explained: “Joseph was a well-known and well-respected member of the Prescot Community. He taught a lot of people both within our family and within the local community about the roofing trade. He was also a former employee of the BICC from where Prescot Cables take their name and who’s images can be seen on the new home shirt. As our dad is no longer with us, as a sign of respect to the man that he was, we take great pleasure as a family in being able to sponsor the ground and name it ‘The Joseph Russell Stadium’ in his memory.
Upon concluding the deal, Club Secretary Paul Goodwin expressed his, and the boards delight at being able to build on what was already a well-established and trusted relationship between the club and Russell Roofing; “I am delighted that Russell Roofing have expanded their sponsorship of the club to now include our stadium at what will now be called The Joseph Russell Stadium. We are also pleased that they will continue to support us by extending their agreement to sponsor our first team shirts.
They share our core values of hard work within the local community and we are thrilled to deepen our ties with a business so well respected within the local community.”
